Soul Seated Journey is revolutionizing the youth wellness experience— the way it is understood, taught, and delivered. Our mission is to nurture kindness to empower young people in our under-resourced communities to self-advocate, empathize with others, recognize injustice and become proactive in changing it by orchestrating youth educators, community organizers, and wellness providers to collectively deliver integrated, heart-led wellbeing education and support services that address the needs of the whole human. We envision our communities filled with wholehearted, thriving youth who change their world with their compassion, courage, and connection. Our non-profit has launched in the San Francisco Bay Area, with plans for expansion worldwide.
About the Role
In the role of video storyteller, you will support communications and marketing programs and activities through video content creation to promote and enhance our mission, organizational goals and image in the community.
You will help tell the story of a global environment for young people to freely access transformational wisdom, personalized care, and loving support. You’ll put a lens on the needs of the whole human so they can live their highest potential and create meaningful impact in their lives, communities, and the world. With today’s mental health crisis, your content will help drive programs focused on Spiritual Health, Emotional Health, Mental Health, Physical/Nutritional Health, and Environment Health.

Requirements
Responsibilities
Collaborate to conceptualize and produce creative, thoughtful, compassionate and brand-consistent video content.
Work closely with the entire team on topic planning and content development, including storyboarding, messaging components, graphics and original footage.
Film, produce and edit a wide variety of external and internal videos, in areas including, but not limited to:
Fundraising
Marketing and advertising
Events
Media segments
Public relations pitches
Impact pieces
General awareness
Recruitment and training
Programs and services
Performs all video post-production tasks, including reviewing footage, logging, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, audio adjustments, color correction, title creation, graphics, and final editing.
Manage and organize archive of video/media assets for ready access.
Keeps up-to-date on best practices, tools, software in the video production and marketing space, ensuring standards remain high.
Requirements:
Experience in video production
Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or SaaS-based online solution
Strong writing and communications skills
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated, problem solver, and willing to go the extra mile
Ability to excel within the dynamic demands of a startup
Experience and passion working with non-profit organizations
An interest in mental health and making an impact in the community

We understand that positive wellbeing not taught in school and support services not readily available or equitable; many young people— especially those growing up in poverty or other adverse circumstances— are grappling with depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, and suicidality that will have lasting impacts on them, their families, their communities, and all of our futures.
