About the event

What does good mental health look like beyond the absence of mental illness? Join Dr. Peter Lin, Professor of Psychology, as he draws on Nancy McWilliams' concept of the vital signs of mental health to explore the core psychological capacities that support well-being. We'll also examine how mindfulness practice can strengthen these capacities in everyday life.

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Identify key vital signs of mental health and their role in psychological well-being

2. Explain how mindfulness practices can enhance emotional regulation, self-awareness, and interpersonal functioning

3. Apply practical mindfulness strategies to cultivate resilience and support mental well-being in daily life
